/ Refit

Refit.

We replace the software you rent every month with a system built around how you work, and it's yours to keep. From R40,000 once, plus your own server costs.

I, India. At sea it means "I am altering my course to port." Ships go into port for a refit and come out with new gear on the same hull.

Rentor own?

Put in what your software costs you each month. It's your own estimate, and it stays on this page.

3months to pay for itself

Renting, three yearsR540,000

Refit, three yearsR76,000

You save R464,000 over three years

This is your own rough estimate, worked out on our R40,000 starting price and a small team's server.

The server figure is about R1,000 a month for a small team. We quote yours before you sign, and it runs on an account in your name.

How a refitgoes.

We plan on about four weeks. Your old system keeps running until the new one has proved itself.

  1. 01

    Sign the spec

Everything you use today, plus what you've always wished it did, written down and priced.

  2. 02

    Build

A short demo every week, so you see it take shape.

  3. 03

    Move your data

Customers, open jobs and price lists come across, along with your history.

  4. 04

    Sea trial

We try hard to break it and check how it handles your customers' details. You get the results in writing.

  5. 05

    Run both

A week or two with the old system still on, so nothing slips through.

  6. 06

    Switch over

We show your team how it works, then you switch the old one off.

Refit

The refit

From R40,000About four weeks. A fixed price, agreed before we start.

We expect a system for a small team to come in at R40,000, with your data moved across. Bigger ones are quoted higher, and every quote shows how soon it pays for itself.

  • Sea trial and team training included
  • First month of Watch included
Our rule: if it won't pay for itself within six months, we'll tell you on the first call.

The small print,in plain words.

Paying for it
50% when we start, 30% when the old and new systems start running side by side, and the last 20% when you switch over.
Running costs
Your server and any other services sit on accounts in your name, so you pay the providers directly. For a small team that's about R1,000 a month.
Who owns it
Your data is only ever yours. The system is yours to change and keep, even if you stop working with us. We may reuse our general building blocks for other clients. Your data and anything made just for you stay yours.
After go-live
Thirty days of fixes and your first month of Watch are included. After that you can carry on with Watch from R4,000 a month, or we hand everything over and your own team takes it from there.

Fairquestions.

The things people ask on the first call. If yours isn't here, WhatsApp us.

On Watch, you WhatsApp us and the people who built it fix it. Without Watch, your team or your own developer has the code and the notes to fix it.

Most will give you a spreadsheet export, and that's usually enough to move everything across. If yours won't, we'll tell you before you sign and show you what we can bring across another way.

Yes. Small changes are part of Watch. Anything bigger, we quote separately before we start on it.

On a server in an account in your name. We write down where your data goes and set it up to fit POPIA, and the sea trial checks it.

Yes, and owning it makes that easier. Rented software often limits what can connect to it. Once it's yours, an assistant can turn a customer's WhatsApp into a job card. That's a Build, quoted on its own.
